2012 Registration

2012 Annual Conference & Bookfair
February 29-March 3, 2012
Chicago, Illinois
Hilton Chicago & Palmer House Hilton

Registration is now officially sold out!
There will be no on-site registration this year.

AWP is pleased to announce that the number of registered attendees for the 2012 AWP Annual Conference & Bookfair in Chicago has reached over 9,500 participants! We are stunned and jubilant for this all-time record high for attendance.

At this time, we are announcing that AWP will not hold on-site registration in Chicago.  Because of the enormous amount of interest in attending this year’s conference in Chicago, we have decided to close all further attendee registration to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for those who have already registered.

We sincerely apologize for any disruption to your plans of attending the 2012 AWP Annual Conference & Bookfair in advance, should we not be able to accommodate you as an attendee. We are sorry, but we must close registration as attendance has reached the capacity of our site hotels.

This is the last year that we rely solely on hotels to provide our meeting rooms and exhibit hall. Next year, in Boston, we will return to a site with a convention center and nearby hotels, as we had arranged for our Denver Conference. Although the leasing and the provisioning of convention centers add mightily to AWP’s production costs, this is the arrangement we will provide from now on, so that we can accommodate the growth of our literary town square and a bigger audience for literature.
