Portland Public Transportation
TriMet operates the MAX light rail, the Portland Streetcar, bus lines, and LIFT paratransit. All forms of public transportation are wheelchair accessible.
The costs for a two-and-a-half-hour pass is $2.50. You can download the Hop Fastpass app for easy fare payment. You get a free ride after spending $5 in a day. Riders may be eligible for the Honored Citizen fare, applicable to seniors over the age of 65 or older, Medicare beneficiaries, and people with mental or physical disabilities.
AWP has a limited number of complimentary TriMet passes, good from March 27–30, 2019. A number of passes are reserved for attendees with disabilities. Others will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis during onsite registration.
Metropolitan Area Express (MAX) Light Rail
MAX is the easiest, fastest, and most affordable way to travel between the Portland Airport, Oregon Convention Center, and most AWP hotel blocks.
The closest MAX station to the Oregon Convention Center is the Convention Center station, located 450 feet from the closest entrance.
Portland Street Car
For step-by-step instructions on riding the Streetcar, read the Ride Guide or watch this video guide. Every streetcar is equipped with ramps and indicates next stops with reader boards and audio announcements.
The streetcar stop closest to the registration area of the Oregon Convention Center is the NE Oregon & Grand station, 404 feet from the entrance.

The bus stop closest to the registration area of the Oregon Convention Center is the NE Martin Luther King & Holladay stop (0.1 miles from entrance).
LIFT Paratransit offers visitors to Portland with 21 days of paratransit services. Riders must be pre-approved and schedule their rides by 5:00 p.m. the day before the requested ride. Make sure to contact LIFT Paratransit several days, if not more, in advance of arriving in Portland. To apply for visitor’s status, contact your current paratransit provider and have them mail, fax, or email verification of your eligibility to the LIFT Paratransit office.

Ride Connection Door-to-Door Rides
Ride Connection is a nonprofit organization operating in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties that offers free door-to-door ride services to those over 60 years of age and people with disabilities. This service operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday–Friday. Ride Connection requests four business days’ notice to schedule a ride.
To get enrolled with Ride Connection, one would have to call (503) 226-0700 to begin the process of getting connected. It takes between 1–2 business days to get connected and is done over the phone.
There is an underground garage located beneath the Oregon Convention Center. Entrances to the garage are located on NE First Avenue and NE Lloyd Boulevard.
There are several accessible parking options throughout the Portland area and near the Oregon Convention Center. The Oregon Convention Center’s underground garage has 10 accessible spaces on parking level one and 11 accessible spaces on parking level two.
