2015 Conference & Bookfair Registration

Conference events begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, and conclude at midnight on Saturday, April 11. The bookfair is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Registration includes admission to AWP’s bookfair, meetings, panels, readings, and public receptions for the duration of the conference period. Meals, lodging, and travel are not included. Visit the Hotel & Travel section for information on lodging at AWP’s official conference hotels.

If you purchased a bookfair table or booth, you receive two complimentary Exhibitor Access Badges, which will allow you full access the conference and bookfair. If you have been assigned an Exhibitor Access Badge, you do not need to purchase an additional registration. For more information about Exhibitor Access Badges, see the Bookfair FAQs.

All conference registrations must be purchased online or onsite with a credit or debit card. We do not accept checks or cash.

* Registrations purchased online between February 20 and April 11 can be picked up in the will-call area of conference registration.

Registration Confirmation

Your registration will be confirmed by an email sent to the address specified during purchase. Please ensure that your email address is correct when registering, as our system is not able to alert you if you enter an incorrect or incomplete email address. You may change the name and affiliation on your badge at any point until Thursday, February 12, 2015, on the Conference Registration Management page of your AWP user account. No changes can be made to badges after February 12.

Will-call Registration

After preregistration ends on Thursday, February 12, you can continue to register online using the will-call option starting February 20, though not at a reduced preregistration rate. Will-call badges can be picked up at the conference during the hours listed below.

Checking-in at the Conference

The registration hall will be set up according to registration period. If you purchased your registration prior to February 20 or received a sponsor registration waiver, approach the preregistered check-in area to receive your badge, program, and tote bag. If you registered during the will-call period (on or after February 20), approach a will-call kiosk to check in, print your badge, and receive your program and tote. A small number of onsite registration kiosks will be open to walk-ins, but lines may be long. We encourage you to instead purchase a will-call registration online before you arrive at the convention center.

A valid photo ID is required to pick up or purchase any conference registration. Individuals who register or volunteer as students must present a valid student ID.

Sponsor and Literary Partner Registrations

As a benefit to supporting the conference, all sponsors and literary partners receive an allocated number of registration waivers, based on the level of sponsorship. Confirmed sponsors and partners will be contacted by AWP with instructions for submitting their waiver lists. All lists must be received by Thursday, February 12, 2015. Registration waivers not submitted by that date will be forfeited.

Press Passes

We appreciate all coverage of our annual conference. Requests for press passes must be made in writing from the editor of the media organization on behalf of the journalist to conference@awpwriter.org by Thursday, February 12, 2015. The request must specifically detail how the pass will be used to cover the conference. To attend as a member of the press, you must present valid press credentials at the preregistered check-in area to receive your conference badge. Photography, videography, and sound recordings are not permitted at the conference without AWP's written consent.
