AWP’s Community Writing Groups Directory is a new, free service to all writers who want to join a writing group or connect with potential members for their existing group.

Are you a writer looking for a writing group? Use the search fields below to find groups that suit your interests.

Our directory is now open to organizers. Writing group leaders who wish to add their group to this directory can submit a group profile on our application page. Please note: all group applications must first be approved by AWP before being added to the directory, and main organizers must be a member of AWP. Group leaders will also want to avail themselves of our Organizer Advice page for details about the application process and advice for forming your own group.
