Cecil Giscombe is the author of Giscombe Road, Here and Prarie Style (Dalkey Archive Press), which won the American Book Award in 2008. He was editor of Epoch and Mixed Blood Magazines and is Professor of English at University of California, Berkeley. He will talk about the poetics of Black Mountain College and about the art of essaying at two Saturday panels at AWP. "Mirage" a film about Basil King's work co-directed by Miles and Nicole Peyrafitte, will be screened at The Walker Arts Cente at the Rain Taxi event, On Thursday (3/9) starting at 5:00 pm.
