All advertising sales are final and nonrefundable. These include: display and classified advertisements for The Writer’s Chronicle; Conference Program advertisements; conference app advertisements, website advertisements, and email advertisements (enewsletter and conference emails). Author Signings

All Author signing spot sales are final and nonrefundable. No refunds or credits of any kind will be provided after the time of sale.

Bookfair Exhibit & Performance Space

All Bookfair Exhibit Space and performance space are final and nonrefundable upon submission of the Bookfair Exhibitor Agreement to AWP. Please see the 2024 Bookfair Exhibitor Agreement for details. This includes all Exhibit Space (i.e. booth and table exhibits, performance space, displays, as well as the bookfair stage. Exhibit Space shall also be interpreted to mean any meeting rooms or other function space at an Event Venue used by Exhibitor for Exhibits. For questions about the bookfair please contact

Conference Attendee Registration

Conference registration sales are final and nonrefundable. Please see the 2024 Conference Attendee Terms & Conditions for details. A registration may be transferred to another individual provided this individual is not already registered, the registration is used for the same conference, and the individual qualifies for the type of registration being transferred. Individual Memberships & Subscriptions to The Writer's Chronicle

Effective June 1, 2020, individual memberships and subscriptions will be fully refundable up to 30 days from the original payment processing date. After 30 days, the purchase will not be refundable but may be transferred to another individual. Please contact the Membership Department at if you wish to request a membership refund or transfer.

A special note concerning membership-registration bundles: the purchase of a membership-registration bundle allows members to enjoy a much lower conference registration rate while receiving the benefits of a one-year membership. However, if a membership is refunded, your conference registration will revert to the nonmember price.

For both individual membership and subscription refunds:

  • If the payment was made online using a credit card, we will generally be able to refund the card directly, and you should see your refund within 5 business days.
  • If the payment was made by check, you will be refunded by check, and these refunds may take up to four weeks to process.

Interview Space

Conference interview room space sales are final and nonrefundable.

Organizational Memberships: Institutional, Affiliate, WC&C, & High School
