Participants
Carla Caglioti is the Executive Director of Southampton Graduate Arts and founding associate director of the Stony Brook Southampton MFA in creative writing and literature. She holds a doctorate in English literature. Her work has appeared in a number of outlets including the Southampton Review.
William Ste. Marie, currently a candidate at Stony Brook Southampton’s MFA in fiction program, is a certified K–12 English teacher and instructor at the College of Staten Island.
Karen Offitzer holds an MFA from University of Arizona, and an MA from NYU. Founder of the MFA in creative writing at National University, she has held teaching positions at Loyola Marymount University and St. John’s University, and she is currently a visiting writer at Stony Brook University.
Helen Storey has an MFA and a PhD in creative writing. She has taught creative writing for over twenty years at institutions including UVA, JMU, VMI, and UH. She currently teaches at Penn State University. She has published fiction and poetry and won numerous awards for her fiction.
Robert Stein is a child psychoanalyst and family therapist. He has been a staff member of the Tavistock Clinic and Marlborough Hospital in London. Currently he practices in New York City and Sag Harbor. His work includes research on the neurobiology of sleep, and the relationship of creativity to violence.
