Robert Root teaches nonfiction in the Ashland University MFA Program in Creative Writing. His recent books include the memoir Happenstance, the essay collection Postscripts: Retrospections on Time and Place, and the craft book The Nonfictionist’s Guide: On Reading and Writing Creative Nonfiction.
Kathryn Winograd’s poetry collection won the Colorado Book Award. Phantom Canyon: Essays of Reclamation will be published this fall. Her work has been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes. Bathing is a notable essay in Best American Essays 2011. She teaches for Ashland University’s MFA program.
Laura Julier is editor of Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction, and directs the Professional Writing Program at Michigan State University. She teaches editing, grammar & style, nature, travel, and environmental nonfiction.
Steven Harvey is the author of three books of personal essays: A Geometry of Lilies, Lost in Translation, and Bound for Shady Grove. He has also edited an anthology of essays written by men on middle age called In a Dark Wood.
Jocelyn Bartkevicius teaches creative writing at the University of Central Florida and is editor of the Florida Review. Her work has appeared in Bellingham Review, the Hudson Review, Fourth Genre, Missouri Review, Sweet, and Gulf Coast. She is completing a memoir, The Emerald Room.
