This group represents the full spectrum of Anhinga's rich catalog. Four of these poets won the Anhinga Prize for Poetry as emerging poets, Diane Wakoski came to Anhinga after she had become one of the most famous poets in the country. All of them are certainly among the best poets writing today.

Gerry LaFemina

Erika Meitner is the author of four books of poems, including Makeshift Instructions for Vigilant Girls; Ideal Cities, which was a 2009 National Poetry Series winner; and the forthcoming collection Copia. She is an associate professor of English at Virginia Tech, where she teaches in the MFA program.

Diane Wakoski has published more than twenty-five collections of poetry, including The Motorcycle Betrayal Poems, Emerald Ice, and The Diamond Dog.

Keith Ratzlaff’s books of poetry are Man Under a Pear Tree; Across The Known World; Dubious Angels: Poems after Paul Klee; and Then, a Thousand Crows. His poems and essays also appear in The Best American Poetry 2009; The Poets Guide to the Birds; Pushcart Prize XXXI.
