John Bell is an English Professor and current Department Chair at American River College in Sacramento and a participant in the college's SummerWords colloquium. His poetry has appeared in Thorny Locust and Teaching English in the Two-Year College.
Evan Balkan is the author of six books of nonfiction. He coordinates the English Department at the Community College of Baltimore County. His fiction and nonfiction, primarily in the areas of travel and outdoor recreation, have appeared in varied publications throughout North America and Europe.
Michael Spurgeon is a tenured professor at American River College, the author of Let the Water Hold Me Down: A Novel, and one of the founders and organizers of SummerWords, American River College's summer creative writing colloquium.
Sharon Coleman has taught poetry, creative writing, and travel writing. She directs the journal, Milvia Street. She's a contributing editor at Poetry Flash, a member of the Northern California Book Reviewers, and a curator the reading series Lyrics & Dirges. She was nominated for a Pushcart in 2012.
Sandy Longhorn is the author of Blood Almanac, which won the Anhinga Prize for Poetry. She teaches and runs the Big Rock Reading Series at Pulaski Technical College, co-edits the online journal Heron Tree, and blogs at Myself the only Kangaroo among the Beauty.
