Four poets with ties to the Northwest and recent books in the Pitt Poetry Series read from their work.

Moderator:

Charles Harper Webb's latest books of poetry are Shadow Ball: New and Selected Poems, and What Things Are Made Of. Editor of Stand Up Poetry: An Expanded Anthology, he has received the Kate Tufts Discovery Award, as well as Whiting and Guggenheim fellowships. He teaches at CSU, Long Beach.

Colleen J. McElroy, Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington, has published nine collections of poems, including Here I Throw Down My Heart (2012), a finalist for the Milton Kessler Award and the Phillis Wheatley Award. She received the 1985 Before Columbus American Book Award.

Laura Read is the author of a chapbook, The Chewbacca on Hollywood Boulevard Reminds Me of You, and a full-length collection of poems, Instructions for My Mother's Funeral. She teaches courses in composition, literature, and creative writing at Spokane Falls Community College.

Paisley Rekdal is the author of four books of poetry and two books of nonfiction, the most recent of which are Animal Eye: Poems and Intimate: An American Family Photo Album. She teaches at the University of Utah.
