What comes after survival? Through this facilitated dialogue, we hope to create an intentional space for those whose writing has been shaped by sexual misconduct to come together, find solidarity, and discuss ways that we can continue to free our communities from violence, while fostering personal, collective, and creative healing. Open to all survivors and allies.

Participants

Lynn Melnick is the author of the poetry collections Landscape with Sex and Violence and If I Should Say I Have Hope, and the coeditor of Please Excuse This Poem: 100 Poets for the Next Generation. She teaches poetry at Columbia University and 92Y and serves on the founding board of Writ.

Cathy Linh Che is the author of the poetry collection Split, winner of the Kundiman Poetry Prize, the Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America, and the Best Poetry Book Award from the Association of Asian American Studies.
