F138. CANCELLED: The Art of Literary Friendship

Status: Not Accepted

Room 217C, Henry B. González Convention Center, Meeting Room Level
Friday, March 6, 2020
9:00 am to 10:15 am

We understand the roles our mentors, editors, agents play in our writing lives. But what about our friends? Marianne Moore had Elizabeth Bishop. Hemingway had Fitzgerald. The members of this panel have all, in varying pairs, been reading and editing and supporting each others' work since they were students in MFA programs. Taking a cue from the Norton Anthology of Friendship, edited by Eudora Welty and Ron Sharp, this panel will focus on the roles our writer friends play in our work.
