This reading and discussion will feature the diverse and talented line-up of poets whose books have been published as part of the newly launched McSweeney’s Poetry Series. Award-winning authors will read from new collections. A Q&A will follow on poems, editing poetry, and publishing with McSweeney’s.


Participants

Moderator:

Victoria Chang's third book of poems, The Boss, was published by McSweeney's Poetry Series in 2013. Her other books are Salvinia Molesta and Circle. Her poems have appeared in the Believer, New England Review, the Nation, and American Poetry Review.

W.S. Di Piero, winner of the 2012 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, is the author of ten books of poetry. His poems appear frequently in Poetry, the New Yorker, and Threepenny Review, and he has written for the New York Times magazine, the New York Times Book Review, and the New Republic.

Zubair Ahmed was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He finished his M.S. in engineering from Stanford in 2013. Currently, he works at Boeing in Seattle, Washington.

Dan Chelotti is the author of X and a chapbook, The Eights. His poems have appeared in Fence, Gulf Coast, Boston Review, and jubilat. He is an assistant professor of English at Elms College.
