Room 204AB, Washington Convention Center, Level Two
Thursday, February 9, 2017
3:00 pm to 4:15 pm

Copyright provides the sole mechanism under law for authors to monetize their work, but it’s a complicated and ever-changing area of the law. This panel of experts from the creative, library, and government copyright communities will discuss how copyright works, and in some cases does not work, to benefit both individual authors and our society at large. It will consider the changes the law has undergone in the digital age, touching on issues such as fair use, remedies for online piracy, and more.
