Mary Rasenberger is the Executive Director of the Authors Guild. Prior to joining the Guild, Mary practiced law for over twenty-five years, specializing in media and copyright law, and served as senior policy advisor for the US Copyright Office and program manager at the Library of Congress.

June M. Besek is the Executive Director of the Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts and a lecturer at Columbia Law School in New York, where her research and teaching focus on copyright and related rights. Ms. Besek is the author of many articles and studies on copyright law issues.

James Gleick is the author of numerous essays on technology and science and of seven nonfiction works, including his most recent book, Time Travel: A History. After ten years as a reporter and editor for The New York Times, he published his first book, Chaos: Making a New Science.
