What You Should Know Before Reserving Your Room

• Book early. Conference hotels usually sell out of rooms several months in advance of our conference.
• All reservations must be guaranteed with a one-night deposit (applicable toward your hotel bill) and a valid credit card.
• Please be considerate of other conference attendees by reserving only the rooms you need for your confirmed attendees.
• Please be mindful of each hotel’s deadline for reserving rooms at AWP’s discounted rate. After these respective dates, discounted rates will no longer be available to attendees.
• For reservations, contact the hotel directly. AWP does not endorse or use a third-party housing service to help with the reservation and/or sale of hotel rooms during our conference. Attendees who use a third-party housing service to secure lodging at one of our contracted hotels may be engaging in illegal activity.
• If you cancel your reservation fewer than 30 days in advance of your arrival, the hotel will apply a cancellation fee to your reservation equal to one night’s room and tax. If you check out prior to your reserved checkout date, the hotel may apply an early departure fee.
• If you experience issues with website reservations, we recommend you call the hotel reservations department directly at the number listed below. Allocations of certain bed types may run out through the websites as the inventory at the AWP hotels fills quickly.

Parking Information
Public parking is available at the LA Convention Center. Parking costs $15 before 4:00 p.m. and $20-25 (rates subject to change) after 4:00 p.m. You can view a map of public parking lots.

Los Angeles Metro Rail and Bus System
The easiest way to purchase fare for the LA Metro System is to purchase a TAP card for $1 at any station on Metro Rail or the Metro Orange Line. This card can be loaded with money on a pay-as-you-go basis. You can also pay bus fare in exact change. One ride is $1.75 on Metro’s rail and bus lines (although additional charges apply to the Metro Silver Line and Express Buses). Conference attendees may also be interested in purchasing a 1-Day Pass for $7 that can be loaded onto their TAP card, depending on how frequently they anticipate using public transportation. Transportation from LAX to Downtown LA
There are several options for attendees arriving at the Los Angeles International Airport traveling to downtown:

• Shuttle Service: SuperShuttle and Primetime Shuttle run services from LAX to downtown. AWP attendees can receive 10% off of SuperShuttle rides from LAX to downtown LA by using the code 78CPR.
• Taxi/Driver Service: Lyft and the taxi companies listed below all provide rides to and from LAX. 
• Public Transportation: There are several metro routes available that will bring you downtown:
• Take the Flyaway Bus from LAX to Union Station ($8). Transfer to the Red Line towards North Hollywood Station and exit at 7th Street/Metro Center. The JW Marriott is about 5 blocks south of the station.
• Take the Lot “G” Shuttle to the Aviation/LAX Metro Station on the Green Line. Take the Green Line east towards Norwalk, transferring to the Blue Line at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station. Exit at Pico Station. The Convention Center is about two blocks away from the station, and the JW Marriot is about four blocks away.
• Take the free Lot “G” Shuttle to the Aviation/LAX Metro Station.  Take the Commuter Express 438 to Downtown LA. Exit at Figueroa St./12th St. The Convention Center is about two blocks away from the station, and the JW Marriot is about four blocks away.

Transportation from Bob Hope Burbank Airport to Downtown LA

• Shuttle Service: SuperShuttle and Primetime Shuttle run services from Burbank airport to downtown. 
• United Independent Taxi and LA City Cab provide rides to and from Burbank Airport. 
• Public Transportation:
• Exit the airport and follow signs to trains. Use the elevated walkway to reach the RITC building. Cross Empire Ave to the Bob Hope Metrolink station. Make sure to buy a Metrolink ticket on the platform as Metrolink cannot be paid for with a TAP card. Take the Ventura County line towards Union Station. Exit at 7th Street/Metro Center. The JW Marriott is about 5 blocks south of the station.
• The “C Lot” bus provides free shuttle service to the Bob Hope Metrolink station if you would prefer not to walk.
