Sophia Kouidou-Giles, born in Thessaloniki, Greece, resides in the United States. With a BA in psychology and an MSW in social work, she has published articles in child welfare journals. “Transitions and Passages,” a poetry chapbook, was shortlisted in a juried competition. Her short story “Life on Egypt Street” placed ninth in the Eyelands fourth international short story competition, and is published in an anthology entitled The Time CollectionVoices of Hellenism, a San Francisco journal, has accepted her poem “Walking on Rhodes.” She is currently working on poetry and a memoir.

Sophia worked with the writer Renee D’Aoust.
