Lucas Jacob is a high-school writing teacher and K–12 writing-instruction consultant based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has taught in schools in four US states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Budapest, Hungary, where he was a Fulbright teaching fellow. His poetry and prose have appeared in journals including Southwest Review, Barrow Street, Hopkins Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, and Western Humanities Review. His debut chapbook, A Hole in the Light, came out from Anchor & Plume in 2015.

Lucas Jacob worked with the translator J. Kates.
