Journey McAndrews

Fall 2015 Session

Journey McAndrews, a poet and essayist, was born in the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky, and although her parents lacked formal educations, they shared their love of food and books with their daughter, later inspiring Journey to become a food writer and poet. Her work has appeared in Kentucky Monthly, Story, ninepatch, Motif, LILIPOH, New Verse News, Inscape, and newspapers. She now lives in Old Louisville, Kentucky, and will graduate in the fall of 2015 with an MFA in creative nonfiction and a minor in poetry from Spalding University.
