Elizabeth Cone

Fall 2015 Session

Elizabeth Cone teaches writing at Suffolk Community College on Long Island. She writes essays and memoir, and has a particular interest in the power of narrative, even as she likes to disrupt and interrogate it. Elizabeth is attempting to write about her father, whose stories constructed their family, and his struggles with dementia; on a lighter note, she enjoys frightening strangers (and sometimes students) with her singing voice; and she often squeezes extra information into three-sentence bios by the (not so) judicious use of the semicolon.

Elizabeth worked with the writer Chauna Craig.
