12:00 noon–1:00 p.m.— Join Oakland Community College for their event  Arab American Heritage: History, Culture, and Stereotypes. Curator of Education at the Arab American National Museum Mr. David Serio will serve as a presenter as he leads the discussion on Arab American culture and achievements. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

Thursday, April 13

11:00 a.m.–12:00 noon— Join Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill Equity and Inclusion Officers for Exploring the Arab American Experience: A Virtual Tour. This virtual tour will take place over teams and center the National Arab American Heritage Museum. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

Thursday, April 27

6:00–7:00 p.m.— Random House presents An Evening Celebrating Arab American Authors. Join for a conversation with Reem Assil, Sarah Cypher, & Malaka Gharib, moderated by Executive & Artistic Director of Mizna, Lana Barkawi (Mizna was also present at the #AWP23 bookfair!). Mizna is a critical platform for contemporary literature, film, art, and cultural production centering on the work of Arab and Southwest Asian, and North African artists. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
