AWP Board Member wins the Bronze Award in the Poetry Category of the 2007 Independent Publisher’s Book Awards

Carolyne WrightCarolyne Wright’s book of poems, A Change of Maps, Published by Lost Horse Press has won this award. Andrew Hudgins says, “Carolyne Wright explores in poetry what it means to live in different worlds, and probes with great sensitivity what it means to live in two or more different worlds at the same… Wright writes with passion, eloquence, and clear moral perspective.” Wright has published eight volumes of poetry, a collection of essays, and three volumes of poetry translated from Bengali and Spanish. Her previous collection, Seasons of Mangoes and Brainfire (EWUP/Lynx House Books), won the Blue Lynx Prize and the American Book Award. She is on the faculty of the Whidbey Writers Workshop MFA Program in Seattle, Washington.
