Christine Sneed Named Finalist for L.A. Times Book Prize

Christine SneedChristine Sneed, winner of the 2009 AWP Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction, became one of five finalists for the 2010 Los Angeles Times Book Prize in the First Fiction (Book) Category. On April 29, Sneed is invited, along with the other finalists, to a private awards ceremony where the winners of each category will be announced.

Sneed is receiving this honor for her short story collection Portraits of a Few People I’ve Made Cry: Stories, published by the University of Massachusetts Press.
