Description:

Women of a Certain Age (WOACA) provides a warm, constructive community for offering critique, accountability and sharing insights gleaned from writer conferences and workshops. Founded in 2017, members are global citizens who enjoy sharing diverse perspectives and personal stories. Their ages span three decades and its members come from diverse cultures including Greece, United Kingdom, North America and the Philippines. Group members meet via Zoom on the third Thursday of each month to discuss submissions and works in progress (maximum length 3,000 words). Current genres include memoir, essays, and creative nonfiction. Writers interested in joining the group are encouraged to apply by submitting a writing sample for consideration, and they may be asked to join one session as part of the application process.
