Oliver de la Paz

Oliver de la Paz is the author of three collections of poetry, Names Above Houses, and Furious Lullaby (SIU Press), and Requiem for the Orchard (U. Akron Press).  He co-edited A Face to Meet the Faces: An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry with Stacey Lynn Brown. He is the co-chair the advisory board of Kundiman, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Asian American Poetry.  A recipient of a NYFA Fellowship Award, his work has appeared in journals like the New England Review, the Southern Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, North American Review, Tin House and in anthologies such as Asian American Poetry:  The Next Generation, and Contemporary Voices from the Eastern World.  He teaches at Western Washington University.
