Tara Betts is the author of two poetry collections-Break the Habit and Arc & Hue. Betts is also a co-editor of The Beiging of America: Personal Essays About Being Mixed Race in the 21st Century. Her prose and poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. She currently teaches at University of Illinois-Chicago and as part of the MFA faculty at Chicago State University. Tara is also a poetry instructor at Stateville Prison via the Prison + Neighborhood Arts Program.
