Mark Doty's nine books of poems have been honored by the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award and, the U.K., the T.S.Eliot Prize. WHAT IS THE GRASS: Walt Whitman in My Life, appeared from W.W. Norton in 2022. He is a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University.
