Ricardo Nazario y Colón has studied at Fordham University, the University of Kentucky, and Pace University. He is one of the co-founders of the Affrilachian Poets, a former U.S. Marine and the author of the full collection “Of Jíbaros and Hillbillies” from Plain View Press, 2011 and the chapbook “The Recital” by Winged City Press, 2011. His work has appeared in the Louisville Review, Aphros Review, Sou’Wester, RiverLit, Acentos Review, The Round Table, Southern Poetry Anthology V.3, Nappy New Millennium Anthology, Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel V.14, BlazeVOX, A Hudson View and others. He has appeared on radio and television shows such as Connections with Renee Shaw and Accents Radio with Katerina Stoykova-Klemer.  He currently resides in Eastern Kentucky where he works as Director of Student Activities, Inclusion and Leadership Development for Morehead State University.
