Natalie Scenters-Zapico is from the sister cities of El Paso, Texas, U.S.A. and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. She has a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MFA with a concentration in poetry from the University of New Mexico. She is the author of The Verging Cities (Colorado State University 2015) and Lima :: Limón, forthcoming (Copper Canyon Press). She has won awards and fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, PEN/America, CantoMundo, and more.  Her poems can be found in POETRY, Tin House, American Poets, The Believer, The Boston Review, Kenyon Review, among others. She is a Professor of Literature at Bennington College.
