Danusha Laméris is the author of Bonfire Opera, winner of the Northern California Book Award, and Blade by Blade, forthcoming from Copper Canyon Press. Her work has been published in The American Poetry Review The New York Times, The Gettysburg Review, Poetry, The Kenyon Review and Ploughshares.  Her first book, The Moons of August, was chosen by Naomi Shihab Nye as the winner of the Autumn House Press prize and was a finalist for the Milt Kessler award. She lives in Santa Cruz, California and is on the faculty of Pacific University's Low-Residency MFA Program.
