Suzanne Roberts is the author of Almost Somewhere: Twenty-Eight Days on the John Muir Trail (winner of the 2012 National Outdoor Book Award), as well as four collections of poetry, Shameless, Nothing to You, Three Hours to Burn a Body: Poems on Travel, and Plotting Temporality. She was named "The Next Great Travel Writer" by National Geographic's Traveler, and her work has been widely published in journals and anthologies, including The Pacific Crest Trailside Reader and Best Women's Travel Writing 2013. She teaches at Lake Tahoe Community College and for the low residency MFA program in Creative Writing at Sierra Nevada College.
