Kevin Prufer's ninth book of poems, The Fears, was published in 2023 by Copper Canyon Press.  His first novel is Sleepaway (Acre Books, 2024).  He teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Houston and Lesley University's Low Residency MFA program.
