Norma Elia Cantú, currently serves as the Murchison Professor in the Humanities at Trinity University. A renowned scholar and writer she has published widely in the areas of folklore, literary studies, women's studies and border studies. As editor of two book series, she fosters the publication of critical scholarship on Latinas and Latinos. An award winning author and poet she is cofounder of CantoMundo, a space for Latin@ poets and a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop.
