Michael Shou-Yung Shum's stories and essays have appeared in The Writer's Chronicle, Barrelhouse, Midwestern Gothic, and Burrow Press Review, among others. His first novel, Queen of Spades, is scheduled to be published in Spring 2018 through Forest Avenue Press.
