Michael Simms is the founder of Autumn House Press. He has been the lead editor on over 100 books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, including multiple editions of The Autumn House Anthology of Contemporary American Poetry. He is the author of  4 full-length collections of poetry -- Migration, American Ash, Nightjar and Strange Meadowlark -- and the co-author of The Longman Handbook of Poetry. Simms has held teaching positions at the University of Iowa, Southern Methodist University, Community College of Allegheny County, Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, and Chatham University. In 2014, he launched an online magazine -- Vox Populi: A Curated Space for Poetry, Politics and Nature.
