Kate Lebo is the author of the cookbook Pie School (Sasquatch Books), the poetry chapbook From a Tree (Dancing Girl Press) and co-editor with Samuel Ligon of Pie & Whiskey: Writers Under the Influence of Butter and Booze (Sasquatch Books), an anthology based on their popular reading series. Her essays have appeared in New England Review, Gettysburg Review, Moss, and other places, and they've been anthologized in Best American Essays, This is the Place: Women Writing About Home, and Ghosts of Seattle Past. Recent poems have appeared in Willow Springs, Blood Orange Review, and Ninth Letter. Her first collection of essays, The Book of Difficult Fruit, is forthcoming from Farrar, Straus & Giroux. She lives in Spokane, Washington.
