An associate professor of Creative Writing at Brigham Young University and a founding member of the editorial staff at Quotidiana.org. He is the author of Delusions of Grandeur: American Essays (Nebraska 2020), and My Wife Wants You to Know I'm Happily Married (Nebraska 2015). His essays have appeared in Gettysburg Review, The Pinch, The Normal School, Florida Review, American Literary Review, The Norton Nonfiction Reader,and elsewhere. Along with Patrick Madden, he co-edits the literary magazine Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction.
