Richard Peabody edits Gargoyle Magazine (founded in 1976), and has published a novella, three books of short stories, eight books of poems, plus a few chapbooks, an e-book, as well as editing (or co-editing) 26 anthologies including:  Mondo Barbie, Mondo Elvis, Conversations with Gore Vidal, A Different Beat: Writings by Women of the Beat Generation, and Kiss the Sky: Fiction and Poetry Starring Jimi Hendrix. Peabody taught fiction writing at the Johns Hopkins Advanced Studies Program for 15 years, and was presented both the Faculty Award for Distinguished Professional Achievement and for Excellence in Teaching. His most recent books are Guinness on the Quay, published by Salmon Poetry in 2019, and The Richard Peabody Reader, released in 2015 by Alan Squire Publishing, as the first book in the ASP Legacy Series.
