University of North Texas

Texas, United States

Residential program

Our graduate programs are essentially English literature programs which supplement literary study with creative writing workshops and which culminate in the production of a creative thesis or dissertation. Our approach assumes a necessary relationship between literary study and literary production, and encourages students to actively engage their traditions for the purpose of responding both critically and creatively. Our faculty and students are encouraged to participate in regional, national, and international conferences as both scholars and writers.
