During this week-long intensive screenwriting retreat, two seasoned screenwriters and educators will give you the necessary tools to develop and write a compelling screenplay, emphasizing the deep connection between character arc and plot, the core of every successful film

Our schedule includes daily writing, film-viewing, discussions of the purpose of each of the crucial three acts, as well as group table-reads and one-on-one mentoring. We will guide you through the process of identifying the best structure for your screenplay. You will leave the workshop with an outline and a first act so that you may continue to a complete draft that works structurally. If you are rewriting a script or have completed a partial script, we will read what you have written beforehand, and during the week, advise you how to improve your story and advance character development in any genre.

In addition, your meals will be prepared by Parma native and US resident Chef Gino Campagna . He will take you a day excursion to visit the lovely city of Parma, famous for its phenomenal food, stunning Romantic architecture, impressive historical landmarks, and great shopping. Tour the exquisite ancient Duomo, the pink marble 11th century baptistry and enjoy lunch in a traditional trattoria.

Rest assured, you will find your spot at the Farmhouse to write.
