Called "life-changing for serious writers," this event brings writers, literary agents, editors, and published authors together for a weekend of panels, presentations, and one-on-one consultations. This year, both in-person and virtual registrations are available.
Join us in Austin, TX, September 17-19, 2021 for our annual Agents & Editors Conference, now in its 28th year.
The WLT’s Agents & Editors Conference is one of the nation’s premier conferences for writers. Every year, we bring together nationally-known literary agents and book editors and other industry professionals with writers at all stages of the writing process for a weekend of conversation and community around the craft of writing and the practical steps toward publication.
For writers with finished manuscripts, the conference’s one-on-one consultations with agents and editors offer a unique opportunity to pitch their work directly to publishing professionals.
For writers working toward a completed manuscript, the conference’s genre meet-ups, panels, presentations, and general sessions offer an abundance of useful information and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for informal chats with agents, published authors, and fellow writers from all genres and backgrounds.
Our 2021 Agents & Editors Conference marks our first in-person event since early 2020 and we are excited to gather together again as a community. Because we also understand that not everyone will be able to attend in person, we’ve added a virtual registration option to this year’s event in the hopes of bringing the weekend’s valuable programming to as many writers as possible.
