MTSU Write is a from-home mentorship program within the Middle Tennessee State University English Department.
It is a three-semester program, working with new and experienced writers in children’s literature, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting, and playwriting. Additionally, MTSU Write offers regular creative writing opportunities in the region including an annual fall creative writing conference, featuring virtual and in-person programming. It also publishes work from writers around the world in its annual literary magazine, SHIFT. MTSU Write is an active member of the literary community in the mid-South and beyond, hosting readings, regular workshops, and master classes, in addition to partnering partners with local organizations on multiple multidisciplinary projects.
