Louisville Literary Arts

Since its founding by poet, Erin Keane in 2004, Louisville Literary Arts has showcased the varied and unique voices of both local and nationally recognized poets and writers, career as well as up-and-coming talent. We gather audiences for the InKY Reading Series and Writer's Block Festival through an ecumenical approach to style, genre, and affiliation. Open mic opportunities, writing workshops, and community outreach programs welcome writers at all stages of the writing process to learn, grow, and celebrate one another's work.

Louisville Literary Arts is committed to keeping all events and workshops free or low-cost, and believe that visiting writers and instructors deserve fair compensation for their work. We believe that whether you are a creator or consumer, you deserve equal access to the wealth of literary culture Louisville and its surrounding counties has to offer.
