Boldface Conference for Emerging Writers

EARLY BIRD PRICING AVAILABLE January 1, 2018! The Boldface Conference for Emerging Writers offers an intensive and supportive writing experience--at a fraction of the cost of most writing conferences. Our missions is to serve new writers. The conference is organized by undergraduates at University of Houston, specifically the editors of Glass Mountain Magazine. The conference features well-known writers and offers extensive workshop experiences. All registration fees, donations and proceeds go to running the conference and publishing the magazine--students fundraise all year. Glass Mountain Magazine is an international undergraduate literary magazine produced at University of Houston's Creative Writing Program, Department of English. Started in 2006 by undergraduates interested in creating a venue for their fellow emerging writers, Glass Mountain Magazine has won awards and gone on to feature some amazing new voices. The Glass Mountain staff began the Boldface Conference for Emerging writers in 2009--also for the purpose of serving new writers across the country, both students and community members.
