The Advanced Fiction Workshop is designed for advanced writers who need clear and structured feedback to improve their work. Each session focuses on workshopping student manuscripts to highlight what’s working and identify opportunities to delve deeper.

Have stories or novel chapters ready to share with a group of committed and experienced readers?

The group will meet once a month, leaving writers plenty of time to read and write. Each three-hour session will include time to discuss the creative process, workshop manuscripts, and share a light meal together.

Each student will be expected to read manuscript drafts to be workshopped and prepare comprehensive comments. Students will also receive detailed comments from the instructor.

This course is limited to 12 students and will meet monthly for six months. Participants should have previous workshop experience and be prepared to participate fully in discussions.

To ensure that the class will be the most beneficial to everyone, we ask that students submit a sample of their work.
