Madeline Island School of the Arts is a premier art and craft school located on a uniquely restored Wisconsin dairy farm surrounded by Lake Superior and the other twenty-one Apostle Islands.
Leave the mainland on the car ferry and disembark into Island Time. On the Island, you’ll find great people, a fantastic setting, and transformative writing. Five-day writing workshops and other complimentary genres like painting, photography and yoga are offered May through October.
The workshops are held in light filled studios with panoramic meadow views. The class sizes are small, and designed for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students--in many cases welcoming all three.
MISA’s modern on-site lodging is adjacent to an apple orchard and the nearby workshop studios. All facilities are climate controlled and there is Wi-Fi in every building.
You can register online for your workshop, lodging and nutritious meals.
