ASJA's Annual Writers Conference, now in its 43rd year, offers independent writers at all stages of their careers an inspiring and educational experience in New York City.
With more than 40 sessions spread out over two days (three for ASJA members) freelances learn from professionals how to be successful entrepreneurial writers in today's media environment. Session topics include books, articles, self-publishing, social media, traditional publishing, first-person/memoir, new markets for work, contract issues, and much, much more.

The ASJA Educational Foundation embodies our longstanding educational mission. Through frequent sessions in our offices in Times Square, online, and in regional chapter locations, freelance writers at all stages of their careers benefit from ASJA members' and others' expertise. Our largest event, the annual ASJA Writers Conference, is held each April in New York City and has been bringing freelance writers together in the nation's media capital for more than 40 years.
