Attend the annual StoryStudio Writers Retreat at the historical artist residency Ragdale. Three days of writing, reading, networking, and communing with nature on the open prairie.

Visit http://www.storystudiochicago.com for complete details.

Each year StoryStudio conducts its annual retreat at Ragdale, a spectacular setting that offers the best of nature and architecture. The famous Ragdale House has been refurbished and its historic rooms and sleeping porches will be open to us.

For over 100 years, Ragdale has provided the time and space for artists and writers to delve deeply into creative endeavors, and today it has a tangible energy that feeds your work from the moment you arrive. We're very excited to combine StoryStudio's dynamic writing workshops with Ragdale's inspirational setting: the creative possibilities are limitless!

In addition to our classes and programming, we'll take advantage of the winding paths, secluded benches, and Ragdale's 50 acres of pristine prairie. The history of Ragdale, the unique setting, and the spirit of so many writers who have come before are sure to inspire you.

StoryStudio Chicago

We love stories and the people who tell them.

StoryStudio Chicago is a growing community of writers building Chicagoland’s premier center for writing and writers. Our mission is simple: teach the art and craft of writing in a positive, open, and encouraging community where students can develop their unique voices.

We focus on creative and business writing classes, and strive to create a welcoming space where writers at every level can improve and grow as artists and communicators; connect with other writers; find encouragement, instruction and feedback; and, well, write!

Wherever you are on your journey, you’ll find support here in workshops, classes, and conversation!
