National Arts in Education Week takes place annually, beginning on the second Sunday of September. Designed by Congress in 2010, it’s a national celebration of arts education programs for students of all ages, and this year, it falls on September 13–19, 2015.

Schools, arts centers, and education programs are hosting celebrations in their communities across the country, and you can join in on the fun! Americans for the Arts has posted a list of events, and Parent Co magazine has its own list of ways to involve the family in National Arts in Education Week. Many are also posting to Twitter with the hashtags #ArtsEdWeek, #EncourageCreativity, and #TeachTheArts.

Alternatively, some have taken to their local decision makers to champion the importance of arts education. Americans for the Arts lists possible resolutions for local education leaders.
