Kari Gunter-Seymour is Ohio's Poet Laureate, a 9th generation Appalachian, the author of four books of poetry, editor of eleven anthologies, an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow, a 2023 Best Book Award winner and the founder/executive director of the Women of Appalachia Project.
